Besides directly donating, there are a number of ways you can also support us in our fundraising.
Movement for Good - Nominate us
The Movement for Good Awards, an initiative by the Benefact Group, is donating over £1 million to charities in 2025 through a series of £1,000 and £5,000 prize draws. Individuals can nominate their favorite charities for these awards, with nominations accepted from January 1 to December 15, 2025. Special £5,000 draws focus on specific sectors including Health & Wellbeing (April 28–May 4).

Tesco in-store blue token scheme 'stronger starts'
We are delighted to let you know that we have been chosen to be part of the Tesco Stronger Starts and will be part of a customer vote in Tesco Minehead. Voting will commence in store from the first week in April 2025 until the end of June 2025.
Many of you may know this as the blue token scheme - you will be given or may need to ask for a blue token when you have made a purchase. Pots of these are usually available to collect at the self-serve checkouts as well.
Once you have a token, please consider placing it in the container by the exit, there will be a section labelled Minehead Dementia Action.
The more votes/tokens we have the more funding we may get!
Please note officially it is against voting rules to store up tokens or approach anyone at the voting collection container, however if someone is undecided who to vote for, let them know the wonderful work our volunteers do.
Fundraising as you shop online
MDA are part of a platform called Easy Fundraising. Easyfundraising turns your everyday shopping online into free donations.
It is completely free - sign up and follow the links to brand websites you wish to purchase from, and a percentage will be donated to us!

Co-op Local Community Fund
MDA are once again part of the Local Community Fund at Co-op for a 3rd year.
This means each time you shop with your Co-op Membership card in-store or with Co-op services, you can support us by choosing MDA as your chosen cause on the Co-op app under the 'community' option or online at https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/92885
Every person who chooses Minehead Dementia Action counts towards a vote for part of a funding pot at the end of October.
