Supporting Our Community During Dementia Action Week 2025

We’re proud to be marking Dementia Action Week 2025 from 19 to 25 May, with a week full of events to bring people together, raise awareness, and highlight the importance of early diagnosis.

Led by Alzheimer’s Society, this national campaign aims to get people talking about dementia, understanding the signs, and seeking help sooner. At Minehead Dementia Action (MDA), we’re a volunteer-led local charity that works year-round to support people in our community affected by memory loss and dementia. We do this by offering regular activities, safe social spaces, and raising awareness across Minehead and surrounding areas.

This year, we’re continuing the important theme of early diagnosis. Why? Because spotting dementia early can make a big difference. It helps people get the right support, make choices while they can, and maintain their independence for longer.
